Location: Dagenham


We are currently in the process of hiring a Document Controller to assist in managing all site documentation, the organisation of blueprints, and Information Management on a large-scale construction project located in Dagenham.


The successful candidate will also have Admin/Adhoc responsibilities and be expected to conduct Project Coordination at some points during the project’s tenure.


As a Document Controller, your principal roles and responsibilities will include:


  • Acting as a main point of contact for all drawing and document control issues.
  • Ensure that all information is recorded and retained on the central document management system.
  • Review and control document management protocols, assisting project teams in document management.
  • Archiving historical documentation.
  • General site administration tasks.
  • Assistance with Project Management Weekly reporting.
  • Clear communication of expectations for document management with sub-contractors.
  • Downloading and uploading all documentation, and schedules, to produce progress reports.
  • Completion, maintenance and monitoring of Testing, commissioning records and As-Built drawings.
  • Assistance with the preparation of O&M Manuals.
  • Training internal and external users on document systems.


Essential criteria:


  • Must have 3+ years of Document Controller Experience.
  • Experience using Asite, SharePoint (other relevant EDM systems.)
  • Effective analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Be very precise and thorough in your work.
  • Be available to start within the next week.
  • Able to be based in Dagenham, on-site 3 days a week.
