Our Financing practice comprises 19 partners, around 62 associates and 6 PSLs in total. We act for a broad range of clients and handle a variety of types of work, including Debt Capital Markets, Securitisation, Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, Projects and Restructuring and Insolvency. This structure leads to more regular client contact and greater involvement in clients’ broader business interests.
This role will be focused on
Restructuring and Insolvency
work. You will be working closely alongside the PSL in the stream but may also be liaising with partners, associates, and trainees across the Financing Stream as a whole and elsewhere in the firm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES //
The key responsibilities of this role are set out below and there may be others which are not listed;nMonitoring legal and market developmentsnAssisting with the production of restructuring and insolvency updatesnSupporting business development initiativesnLegal and market researchnUpdating the practice intranet sitenAssisting with legal tech projectsnGathering know-how and precedents and uploading to the know how systemsnOrganising team meetings and training sessionsnAssisting with queries from fee earnersnIf required, assisting with certain fee earning tasks
CANDIDATE PROFILE //
Candidates for this position will be expected to have worked, or be working, in a similar role within a professional services environment, but that is not essential. However,
an interest in, and the enthusiasm to develop knowledge of the restructuring and insolvency area, is essential . We also require candidates to be/have:nStrong academic and legal backgroundnExcellent organisational skillsnSelf-motivated and able to work independently and pro-activelynAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesnStrong oral and written communications skillsnExcellent eye for detailnExcellent legal technical knowledgenAbility to pick up new legal concepts quicklynGood IT skills and an ability to learn new IT systems quicklynExperience of working in a diverse team whilst fostering an inclusive team culturenHigh level of professionalism and integrity; displays the highest standard of professional ethics
