Role: Data Scientist 
Location: Nottinghamshire – Hybrid / 1 day every couple of weeks in the office.

You'll have the autonomy to own the data function, drive forward your own strategy, tools selection, and much more
Key Responsibilities:
Data Pipeline Development:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to process and analyze large datasets from diverse sources
Implement and manage data workflows using tools such as AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, and AWS Lambda.
Utilize Hadoop frameworks for processing vast amounts of data using tools like Apache Spark and Hadoop on AWS EMR (Elastic MapReduce). Data Modeling and Analysis:
Set and monitor key product metrics to understand trends and measure the success of product efforts.
Develop and validate statistical models and machine learning algorithms to address complex business problems. Data Infrastructure:
Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure data infrastructure aligns with data science initiatives.
Optimize and manage data storage solutions, including data warehouses (e.g., Redshift), data lakes (e.g., AWS S3), and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) on AWS.
Utilize natural language processing (NLP) services for text analysis using AWS Comprehend. Data Quality and Governance:
Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance practices.
Develop data validation and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability. Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.
