About the school:
Welcome to our vibrant and dynamic primary school in Brent, London We are a welcoming, diverse community with a student body of around 400 enthusiastic learners. Our school is housed in a modern, purpose-built facility that features spacious classrooms, a dedicated art and music suite, and beautifully maintained grounds including a playground, sports field, and a garden area.
We pride ourselves on being SEN friendly, with robust support systems in place to cater to the diverse needs of our students. Our curriculum focuses on core subjects like English, Mathematics, and Science, but we also place a strong emphasis on creative subjects including Art and Music. Our after-school clubs are diverse and engaging, offering everything from drama to coding, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to explore their interests and talents.
About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves teaching Key Stage 1 students and is set to start as soon as possible. The position is part-time, with flexible working days that can be discussed during the application process.
This opportunity has arisen due to a member of our team moving to a new role, and we are looking for someone who can seamlessly integrate into our supportive environment. The class size is manageable, allowing for a personalized approach to teaching, and the role offers the chance to make a significant impact on our young learners.
Application Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience in teaching Key Stage 1.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum.
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to both students and parents.
• Create a supportive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Plan and prepare lesson materials that cater to a range of learning styles.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
• Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.
