Care Assistant Position

A warm and homely Residential Care Home in Southampton, is currently seeking motivated Care Assistants to join their dedicated care team on a full time, permanent contract.
We are recruiting on behalf of a lovely Residential Home which is rated ‘Good’ in their CQC report and has a great reputation within the local area. This home cares specifically for the elderly and respite care.
Extensive training and support will be provided from Senior Care Assistants and senior staff members to new Care Assistants joining the care team and full training and inductions will be a staple no matter the experience level of any new Carers joining the care home. NVQs in Health and Social Care or a Care Certificates would be advantageous however not essential.
Position details:
* £11.50 - £13.00 ph
* 36 hours each week
* Short shifts and long shifts available
* Day and night shifts available
* Paid breaks
Main duties for care assistants are as follows:
* Providing personal care such as assisting with bathing, dressing and using the toilet
* Manual handling and assisting residents to move around the home, using equipment where required
* Work collaboratively within a team of other Care Assistants to provide a high quality of person-centred care
* Assisting residents with food and drink throughout the day
* Promoting residents' health and wellbeing, enabling them to live their lives to the full in their later years
Desirable for Care Assistants:
* Previous experience as a Care Assistant within a care home or domiciliary care
* NVQ’s within Health and Social Care.
