About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Audio Visual (AV) Consultant to join our team and deliver cutting-edge audiovisual solutions for some of the world's leading companies. The platform helps organisations support, manage, and document their technology at scale. Key Responsibilities: Client Engagement: Work with globally renowned clients to understand their AV needs, business goals, and technical requirements. Projects may involve multiple disciplines and operate within varying timeframes, ranging from accelerated schedules of months to multi-year durations. Attending regular client meetings with senior project members, preparing meeting notes documenting relevant decisions and discussions. Facilitate interactive workshops with clients and project stakeholders in person or via video conference to gather requirements, refine designs, and align project objectives. Challenge the status quo to help clients discover optimal solutions for their workspaces. Develop and nurture relationships with key external stakeholders, including project managers, consultants, and vendors. Design and Coordination: Develop the design of AV systems, ensuring integration with other relevant disciplines. Coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to align design requirements. Collaborate with the wider Uncoded team to create coordinated technology packages for clients. Understanding when to undertake a task yourself and when to delegate tasks to the design team. Produce tender design information, including specifications, drawings (Schematic, Elevation, Layout, Axonometric), and client budgets. Research emerging technologies and monitor future trends to keep Uncoded and its clients at the forefront of technology. Engage with key manufacturers and vendors to stay updated on leading AV products. Implementation and Oversight: Oversee the installation, termination, and testing of AV systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO, ANSI/TIA, AVIXA), safety protocols, and best practices. Uphold drawing standards, including plans, elevations, and schematics. Conduct site inspections to determine existing conditions and extent of progress made by contractors. Support and Validation: Ensure delivery of comprehensive documentation and O&M packages, including system manuals, schematics, warranties, and as-built drawings. Gather feedback to address any final adjustments and ensure client satisfaction. Engage with key manufacturers and vendors to carry out compliance and warranty site/project assessment. Qualifications and Experience: AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), ideally working towards CTS-D, or CTS-I certifications. Experience and/or certifications with major AV platforms (e.g. Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure). Experience and/or certification with major VC platforms (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx, Google Meet, Lark). Familiarity and/or certifications with IT/AV convergence and protocols (e.g. Dante, AV over IP, HDBaseT, NDI, SMTPE 2110). 3 years of previous experience in consulting or designing for corporate environments. Technical Skills: Proficiency in the following software packages: AutoCAD; experience with BIM is advantageous. Microsoft 365, including Co-Pilot. Wrike; or familiar with other project management tools. Ability to learn new software and applications quickly. Strong knowledge of AV systems and leading AV manufacturers/products. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.
