A diverse and inclusive secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham is seeking a passionate and reflective Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join their thriving Humanities department on a permanent basis. This is an exceptional opportunity to inspire young people to engage with fundamental questions about life belief and values fostering their understanding of different religious and philosophical perspectives.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and thoughtprovoking RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on your experience and expertise.
  • Foster a respectful and openminded learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring a wide range of religious and nonreligious worldviews.
  • Encourage critical thinking ethical reasoning and respectful dialogue about complex issues related to religion philosophy and belief.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a rich and diverse RE curriculum that reflects the multicultural nature of society.
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback and support to help them develop their understanding of religious and philosophical concepts.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Religious Education.
  • A proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in RE or related subjects.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • A passion for RE and a commitment to promoting understanding and tolerance of different beliefs and values.
