Principal Infrastructure Architect (Assurance)

Our client is a leading technology consulting firm, due to rapid growth plans, they are looking for a Senior / Principal Infrastructure Architect.

The architecture practice houses a network of industry-leading professionals. As a practice, they deliver complex transformations, seamless cloud migrations and enterprise architecture definitions and management.

This is a Principal level role - As the Lead Infrastructure Architect, your role encompasses providing leadership, assurance, and technical oversight over the system solution, addressing technical, service, and process components. You will collaborate with other subject matter experts (SMEs) and technical architects to craft solutions aligned with customer needs.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the architectural design and development of infrastructure solutions.
  • Provide Assurance - Reviewing architectural designs, ensuring they have been implemented correctly from an infrastructure perspective – assuring changes are low risk
  • Provide architecture leadership and support to infrastructure teams
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' existing infrastructure landscapes, providing strategies to improve the existing infrastructure systems.
  • Develop plans for procurement and establishment of infrastructures.
  • Provide direction to teams on implementing technical solutions and methodologies to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Offer resolutions to intricate issues arising in network programs and projects.
  • Guarantee readiness for disasters; implement secure backup and recovery procedures to safeguard against system disruptions.
  • Regularly engage with business stakeholders to monitor, document, and report on projects

Current experience will include:

  • You will possess a meticulous approach to problem-solving.
  • Architectural assurance - has it been implemented as specified – Strong Assurance capability.
  • Proven experience supporting highly critical services.
  • End-user devices / back up as a service (BaaS)
  • Server Virtualisation / VMWare
  • Kubernetes (desirable)
  • Efficiently interact with clients to ascertain project goals and specifications.
  • Knowledge of data-centric operations and the components involved
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, cloud computing and principles
