On behalf of our client, a well-regarded secondary school in Bournemouth, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team. This position, commencing in September, provides a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of young learners with special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiate instruction to maximize student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Assist with academic, social, and emotional development, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and support.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN frameworks and strategies, including differentiated instruction and behavior management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with young people.
