As a Support Worker, you will provide exceptional support to vulnerable individuals with Autism and learning disabilities, empowering them to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
The successful candidates should have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and have a passion for providing support to vulnerable individuals. You will be required to develop a deep understanding of individual needs and provide a person-centred approach to support, ensuring all aspects of their emotional, social, and physical needs are met.
Candidates will have prior experience in a similar role, but training and development programs will be provided. Working as a Support Worker is challenging, yet highly rewarding, and this role provides an opportunity for personal growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer medication
* Assist with daily living and domestic duties, including cooking, cleaning, and personal care
* Develop positive working relationships with the multi-disciplinary team
* Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of clients
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports, such as support plans and MAR charts
* Complete necessary administrative duties
* Maintain regular communication with the Service Manager
* Respect the individuality and confidentiality of each client
* Build and maintain relationships with service users and their families
Essential Skills and Qualities:
* Ability to be patient and calm under pressure
* Previous experience working with adults with complex needs
* Reliability and trustworthiness
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Hardworking and committed to making a difference in the lives of those you support
* Availability for day shifts, night shifts, and sleepovers
