We are currently recruiting for a full time SEN Teacher Assistant to work for a reputable special needs school based in North London. This special needs school specialises in helping the lives of young autistic individuals by creating a safe and happy environment for them to thrive by adapting teaching styles to give them a more personalised approach.
Your responsibilities as a SEN Teacher Assistant will include -
Be responsible for keeping up to date with safeguarding / health & safety policies.
Value and use differences and diversities in learning support.
Have an ability to adapt your support style to meet a range of learners needs operating and across a variety of ages.
Train in and consistently apply Positive Behaviour Support strategies / handling techniquesPersonal Attributes:
Have knowledge or know about autism
Willingness to support and manage behaviours of distress
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (in English)
To have the physical and emotional resilience to work with autistic children/YP who may have behaviours that challengeWorking as a SEN Teaching Assistant for this special needs school would also provide you with many benefits, such as -
