Role: Depot Manager
Package: Starting from £35,000
Location: Bredbury, Manchester
Hours: Mon-Fri (day-time shifts)
Our client is a one of the UK’s largest national providers for Plant & Tool Hire. Due to their continued growth and expansion, they’re looking for an established Depot Manager to oversee and lead the team; ensuring that customer service standards, compliance, stock control, and revenue targets are met.
You will need to be an established Manager or Supervisor who has previous experience working in the Hire or Construction sector (ESSENTIAL), who can take the reins and manage the rest of the Hire Desk, Workshop Foremen, Administrators and Drivers.
Main Responsibilities:
* Leadership and management of Depot colleagues
* Deliver first class Customer service
* Delivery of Depot annual budget
* Liaison with key customers to develop their accounts
* Oversee safety of Depot and ensure Safe systems of work
* Ensuring the hire fleet utilization is maximized
* Liaising with Senior management on depot P&L, utilization , rates and conversion
* Managing costs and expenditure
* Colleague management and development
* Securing new business
* Stock Management
Role Requirements:
* Understanding of Manual Handling / Slips, trips and falls & COSHH
* Valid UK Driving license
* Strong mechanical and technical knowledge
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Knowledge of managing asset and stock counts
* Previous experience of supervision of a team
* General knowledge of the Construction or Hire Industry
* Understanding of financial information
