Duties

  • The Manufacturing Engineer will develop new and existing manufacturing processes, documentation, equipment and procedures.
  • Part of a multifunctional team, the Manufacturing Engineer will be involved in continuously improving manufacturing methods, tooling, fixtures and process flow
  • Leading the development of new processes/ machines, and improvement projects
  • Being responsible for specification or the support of, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment (CAPEX)
  • Responsible for NPI processes
  • Be involved in DfX input to new products
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements
  • Manage the testing and replacement of obsolescent production consumables
  • Leads PFMEA and capability/repeatability improvement activities

Skills & Experience

  • Previous technical manufacturing experience
  • Electronics, electro-mechanical, instrumentation or related sector experience
  • Complex assembly and production engineering skills
  • Strong Six Sigma and or Lean skills, providing CI projects etc have a strong structured approach and methodology
  • Very strong exposure to NPI gated processes
  • Understand and be able to implement (P)FMEA’s
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
