Hours: Monday to Friday- 45 hours per week
On call / Standby: 1 week in every 4
We are advertising this HVAC Engineer role on behalf of our client ‘CITY Facilities Management’. City FM was established in 1985 and the company has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies.
Job Description:
The purpose of the HVAC technician role is to carry out planned and reactive maintenance covering several sites across East Scotland. To be first in line for all maintenance for your allocated site and carry out technical repairs and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM’s) while ensuring that health and safety is at the forefront of all actions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete PPM schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedure.
* Respond promptly and positively to service requests from helpdesk and to access the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and when necessary.
* Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
* Order spares to the laid-down procedures.
* Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the line manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
* Ensure that compliance documentation is always completed and up to date.
* Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by management.
* Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
* Attend training courses as and when necessary and to ensure persona job skills keep pace with technical developments.
Qualifications:
* Qualified Commercial Gas / Heating Engineer who has experience across multi-sites on the service and maintenance of heating systems.
* NVQ Level 3 – Commercial and Industrial Gas, Building Services / Heat & Ventilation
* City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas Category
* Positive in approach, able to work in a dynamic business environment, but above all be committed to the delivery of outstanding customer service.
* Experience of multi-site environment
* Dealing directly with customers and on-site management teams
* Ability to work at heights, work in confined spaces
* A hands-on, can-do and flexible approach to your work
