Trinity Business Support are currently recruiting a Transport Planner to work at our Darlington site.
Working for a market leader in the production and distribution of bespoke home improvement products, you will be joining a settled and ever-increasing transport team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Responsible for monitoring driver performance, booking and scheduling vehicle servicing, upkeep of general vehicle maintenance, adhering to and overseeing all transport compliance schedules.
* To abide by & promote health & safety, ensuring all approved policies & processes are followed.
* To support our very busy traffic office on a full-time basis.
* General fleet compliance.
* Organising all fleet repair and maintenance through 3rd party maintenance providers.
* Managing driver holiday and absence.
* Being a point of escalation for driver issues.
* Dealing with issues from drivers, sites and vehicles.
* Ensuring drivers are maintaining company standards and following procedures.
* Oversee the general running of the Transport Department.
* Supervise all tasks undertaken by drivers and Transport staff.
* Resolving site issues with both customer service and drivers
* Monitoring use of driver tablets and maintaining general upkeep.
* Creating, detailing and monitoring service reports, and delivery charters.
* Building friendly, professional driver relations.
* Any other relevant tasks as required
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday
* 13.00 -21.00
* 40hrs per week
* All planners will be required to assist on potentially earlier or later start times to cover any staff sickness or staff holidays
Pay:
* £25,000 per annum
* Weekly pay through Trinity Business Support for the first 12 weeks
* After 12 weeks, you'll be fully employed with the site directly
