Contek Recruitment are currently working exclusively with an engineering client who specialize in the design and manufacture of sheet metal fabrications, primarily for the industrial/commercial sectors.
Our client are a family-run business, based in Stourbridge, West Midlands, who are now looking for a Junior Design Engineer to join their growing team. Ideally, they are looking for someone that is currently working in a sheet metal fabrication role, and is aiming to move into an office-based design role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Creating CAD designs for industrial fabrications using Solidworks software.
* Liasing with the production department regarding designs and fabrication.
* Completion of designs within project timeframes.
* Working as part of a busy design team.
Position Requirements:
* Have previous experience within sheet metal fabrication.
* Ambition to move into a design based role.
* Based in a commutable distance of Stourbridge, West Midlands.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Comfortable working within a small team.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (07:00 AM until 16:00 PM) and Friday (07:00 AM until 12:00 PM)
Pay: £22k to £28k per year (Dependent on experience)
This is a progressive role for someone that wants to learn and develop into a fully-fledged Design Engineer position in the future. No design experience is required, however a good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication is essential.
