Dayshift Maintenance Engineer

An opportunity to join an FMCG manufacturing organisation in their engineering department to focus on maintenance and repair of fast paced equipment. This is a dayshift position and they are looking for someone who has experience in fabrication.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide line support
Carry out reactive maintenance and corrective maintenance as required
Support changeovers in areas where engineering expertise is needed
Carry out asset care tasks on production equipment
Drive Continuous Improvement through identify line improvement projects
Support the BRC compliance activities
Experience required:
Time-served Engineer with a recognised trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
Detailed engineering knowledge of equipment used in services, filling, packing, and palletisation.
Computer literate.
Knowledge of continuous improvement tools.
Understanding of the contribution Engineering can make to the achievement of Manufacturing KPIs.
Working knowledge of best practice asset care principles.
Strong fault-finding experience.
Experience in performing changeovers.
Experience working within time-critical production.
FMCG experience would be desirable.
To be successful you should be time served in an engineering discipline and be comfortable working on a variety of equipment alone or as part of a team. You should be passionate about engineering and looking at ways to improve.
