Our client a leading and well established consumer business based in Bromley are looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Manager to join their Head Office team on a hybrid working basis.
As Commercial Finance Manager the primary purpose of the role will be to provide analysis, insight and understanding of the gross margin return for global business units. This role will be pivotal in supporting the sales and marketing teams in making business decisions.
Key Responsibilities as Commercial Finance Manager include:
- Providing finance business partner support to the commercial teams, influencing behaviours and performance through insight and understanding of key drivers and market trends.
- Managing ongoing forecasting and financial review to ensure commercial risks and opportunities are highlighted.
- Preparing insightful commercial reports and analysis to support management decision‐making.
- Delivering analysis of sales performance/margins on a timely basis – identifying reasons for variance, recommending acons and measuring outcomes.
- Reviewing and approving all commercial proposals including full financial support to the bid and tender process.
- Driving the monthly business performance reporting process,
- Leading and improving the budgeting and forecasting processes, including agreeing, reviewing & challenging commercial targets with business/department leads.
- Co‐ordinating and leading the annual financial planning process for the division.
- Developing and improving accounting & control processes to ensure that results are reported appropriately, accurately and on a timely basis.
- Measuring and reporting monthly commercial KPI's to senior management.
- Management of Balance Sheet of the Sales and Marketing functions.
Skills Required:
- Qualified accountant: ACCA/CIMA/ACA
- Experience using SAP
- Post qualification experience in a commercial role
- Team management experience
- Good analytical skills
- Strong commercial accumen
