Job Description:
They are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support their commercial team in managing all costs related to residential building projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for residential projects.
* Support the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
* Help manage and control project expenditures.
* Work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and project teams to monitor progress and costs.
* Assist in conducting feasibility studies and cost analyses.
* Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather necessary information.
* Contribute to the preparation of regular financial reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Some experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the residential construction sector.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
* A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of construction methods and materials is an advantage.
