About the Opportunity
We have a new opportunity for an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Field Service Engineer to join our Engineering team providing support to enable cost effective, efficient, and compliant operation of energy assets. The role will include commissioning, operation, maintenance, fault finding and optimisation of battery and power generation systems.

The role will involve:
- Responsibility for the safe, efficient and cost-effective execution of EC&I energy asset maintenance activities, identifying and eliminating defects, optimising performance and improving equipment reliability
- Conducting corrective maintenance and fault finding on energy assets following unplanned equipment failure, implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime
- Collaborating with Field Service Engineers and key stakeholders in support of energy asset operation, maintenance and optimisation, where necessary undertaking other duties requested by line management, that assist delivery of continuous improvement and value-add decision making
- Liaising with the project delivery team, contractors, and vendors to support the commissioning and handover of new energy assets
- Undertaking installation, surveying and repair works as required
- Ensuring that complete and accurate energy asset operational, maintenance and other relevant information and data are recorded within company systems and management information and reports are produced as requested
- Maintaining compliance with company policies, practices and procedures alongside ensuring that HSEQ expectations are always upheld
- Escalating serious issues or concerns on HSEQ and wider compliance to line management
- Providing on-call engineering support and emergency response cover
- To actively share knowledge coach and contribute to the development of the energy asset team capability
- Contributing to energy asset discussions and meetings to enhance personal, team and energy asset performance
Who we are looking for:
Experienced in performing fault finding and rectification on a wide range of electrical, control and instrumentation equipment our successful candidate will also demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Time served EITB or NVQ Electrical, Control or Instrumentation Apprenticeship
- NVQ, C&G Level 3 or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
- BS7671 and Inspection and Testing qualifications or open to required training
- Demonstratable experience of ensuring compliance with appropriate Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental standards, policies, and procedures
- Sound understanding of working under safe systems of work including permit to work, method statements and risk assessments
- Ability to provide accurate record keeping and reporting within Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Experience of assisting with scheduled and unscheduled outage activities as required, to ensure all aspects of EC&I work are completed to program, in a safe and efficient manner
- Knowledge and experience of developing and implementing engineering procedures, instructions, method statements, risk assessments and guidance documents
- Maintenance, fault finding and repair of Motors / Switchgear cubicles (MCC’s), control panels and wiring, Variable speed drives (VSD’s)
- Maintenance, fault finding and repair of instrumentation and control systems, including equipment calibration
- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and influence team members at all levels within the organisation

Additional Information:
- Location: Field based covering sites across the UK
- Competitive salary to be discussed at interview
- Hours of work: 40 Hours, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm
- Contract Type: Permanent
- This role will require frequent travel to AMP sites across the UK including overnight stays when required
- Company vehicle will be provided with this role
- There will be a requirement for lone working
