We're looking for a skilled and solutions driven NPD Technologist to join our client, a leading food manufacturing company, and play a key role a part of the New Product Development team with involvement in recipe development, product sign off and product scale up.
This is an interesting and busy role, as well as a fantastic chance to work as part of a team of motivated, creative and tenacious colleagues managing all aspects of a fast-moving business. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised and brilliant at engaging with people. Previous NPD experience within the Food sector will be required alongside a degree within a food-related discipline.
Offering a salary of up to £30,000 plus great benefits. You would be based at the Malton factory in North Yorkshire.

Responsibilities
You will join a busy NPD department tasked with supporting further growth and will be expected to make a positive impact. As NPD Technologist your key responsibilities will include…
- Involvement in recipe development, product sign off and product scale up
- Using internal recipe management systems to create recipes in line with customer briefs
- Ensuring customer samples and paperwork are delivered on time
- Preparing customer presentations and attending meetings
- Using market research to monitor market developments
- Focusing on both existing product development and all stages of new product development
- Working with and alongside multiple departments to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Requirements

- A degree within a food-related discipline alongside NPD experience within the industry
- A demonstrable interest in New Product Development
- Experience working with sauces, soups and Ready Meal categories would also be advantageous
- You will be solutions driven with the ability to make recommendations for improvement
- Strong communication, interpersonal and team working skills
- Self-motivated, confident, able to work on your own initiative
- A good sense of humour, a flexible approach and the desire to work in a fun but extremely challenging environment
