Senior Sales Executive – Public Sector
You must have dealt with public sector frameworks
Basic Salary - c£40,000 to £50,000 OTE c£10k to £15k bonus uncapped plus benefits.
Location – Hybrid Office (based in Manchester) and Home based. North west region.
Areas considered would be Manchester, Liverpool, Bolton, Oldham, Blackpool, Warrington, Stockport, Sheffield, Huddersfield, Bury, Blackburn, Halifax, Burnley, Sheffield, Chester, Bradford, Preston, Blackburn, Lancaster, Stoke to name a few.
The Opportunity
This is a division of a £300m turnover business that employees over 2500 employees in the renewable energy sector. They provide turnkey solutions comprising of ground based and roof based Solar PV, Lighting, Heating Decarbonisation, EV charging solutions, Funding Solutions and Energy Storage and Consultancy to the private and public sector.
The Role
This is an exciting sales position which requires a mixture of account management on public sector opportunities via existing framework agreements and dynamic purchasing systems, you will review and qualify incoming bids from registered portals, organising and coalescing the wider team to deliver the required aspects of the tender submission. Contacting these key stakeholders within prospective clients through a variety of platforms i.e., phone, social media, email, face to face meetings and targeted networking engagement.
It does also require an element of hunting and business development to chase down new relationships and opportunities within the public sector to identify, fact find, build relationships and ultimately close and secure revenue recognition across a national territory in the NHS, Local Authority and other related sectors directly.
The role can be home based but some travel to a Manchester office is expected maybe once per week. The role is focusing on building and strengthening relationships in these public sector areas across Education, Healthcare and Local Government, whereby the client has an up-and-coming low carbon project and is on a journey to reduce their carbon emissions whilst also maximising financial return without operational disruption.
This is purely focused on the public sector, and you will work closely with the bid team to react to project opportunities.
The Candidate
We are seeking an experienced public sector focused sales professional from a technical solution sell, with knowledge of public sector framework agreements and building critical relationships within these, and directly with NHS trusts and key contractors, networking and building awareness for low carbon projects across the UK within the public sector. It would be advantageous if you have some experience of renewable solutions, or any part of building management systems, the built environment, fit out, FM services, lighting, solar energy solutions, EV charging, energy storage, heating solutions, building controls and other smart building solutions but allied solutions of a technical nature will be considered.
