A local authority are seeking a strategic contract manager to join their successful procurement team.
This is a commercial leadership role, leading and overseeing contract management activity for key contracts within the council as well as provide commercial advice and support on a range of other commercial projects. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders to become a commercial advisor of choice building up strong and effective working relationships. You will lead on the commercial contract management, ensuring the best outcomes are achieved for the Council including the delivery of value of money and this will require the use of a range of commercial skills.
You will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of high-risk contracts across a range of services covering high value projects.
You must have local authority or central government experience working within a procurement team.
This is a hybrid role initially for 3 months, if you have the relevant experience please apply with your CV
