As a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant you will be working closely with our accounting team to create and analyse financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments
The ideal candidate will be an experience Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant who has ideally worked in the accounts department within a construction company.
Responsibilities:
* Maintaining company records and accounts and ensuring no discrepancies
* Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts
* Producing detailed sales and purchase ledgers
* With the accounts team, producing annual accounts and Corporation tax returns
* Managing employee wages and expenses
* Tending to bank transactions, including reconciling bank statements, processing deposits, and handling bank-related tasks
* Continually recording any inconsistencies to help reconcile inaccuracies
Requirements:
* Proven bookkeeping experience
* Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
* An ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
* Data entry skills along with an affinity for numbers
* Hands-on experience with spreadsheets, and proprietary software
* Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
