Our client, the largest provider of training in the UK's construction sector, is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Trainer to join their team. In this role, you will deliver flexible and blended training programs, with a focus on Construction Theory and Health and Safety. These Level 1 and 2 trade programs, which run for 2-4 weeks, are designed to equip learners with the practical skills and knowledge necessary for employment in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality training based on a pre-defined curriculum, ensuring that learners gain the necessary skills and knowledge.
* Complete and maintain all required documentation, including learner files, tracking documents, and course materials.
* Mentor, observe, and assess learners, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
* Provide information, advice, and guidance to assist learners in their career progression.
* Ensure all training delivery complies with company, funding, and awarding organization standards.
* Assess learners' e-portfolios to verify successful achievement of qualifications.
Skills and Experience:
* A teaching qualification, such as PTLLS or Level 3 AET (or equivalent).
* An Assessor award or qualification.
* A Level 3 qualification or equivalent occupational competence within the construction industry.
* Maths and English qualifications at Level 2 or above.
* Proven experience in classroom-based training delivery, particularly within the construction sector.
* Ability to effectively engage with diverse learner groups.
* Strong IT skills and proficiency in digital tools for training.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail and adherence to established processes.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high standard of work.
* Enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a passion for teaching and training.
