Who we are looking for

A Test Automation Engineer, who will develop, execute and maintain a custom Java based framework targeting Android native apps.


Working within the Software Testing department, you will be required to develop, execute and maintain a large Java based automated test code base.


Development will be conducted across multiple platforms including Web, Mobile, Mobile Apps and Internal Tools.


You will be involved in all automation requirements and deliverables, as well as making continuous improvements to the existing framework using Selenium, Espresso, XCUITest and Open Source tools.


You will be joining a team of bright and enthusiastic developers and testers who have a desire to learn and thrive during a challenge, whilst having the opportunity to help us continue moving forward and leading the way in this exciting industry.


Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Commercial test automation experience with Java or Kotlin.
  • Exposure to and awareness of CI, preferably Jenkins.
  • Exposure and understanding of Saucelabs or equivalent.
  • Understanding of Selenium Automation testing with Java including framework development experience.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Software testing experience of Web and Mobile systems.
  • Knowledge of version control software such as GIT.
  • Experience of Selenium WebDriver or Selenoid.
  • Experience of Docker and Containers.
  • Exposure to XCUITest framework including Swift programming language.


Main Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and assessing daily releases and updating automation suites where appropriate.
  • Monitoring run times, performance and accuracy of automation results, making improvements where needed.
  • Working closely with the software testing teams to understand the changes of transitioning manual test scripts into automated test scripts.
  • Developing native app tests using Espresso Kotlin.
  • Being involved in exciting new research projects and proof of concepts.
