 Operations Manager, Property Management


Great opportunity to join a large Freeholder in Central London. 


The Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight and protection of the companies assets, mainly residential blocks.


Building Safety Act knowledge is key for this role. Any exposure to landlords' certificates and cladding issues would be desirable.


Responsibilities - Operations Manager, Property Management


  • Manage and oversee a large portfolio of residential properties/dedicated group of managing agents 
  • Oversee the financial management of lessee funds with the managing agents, including budget approvals, accounts, expenditure v budget and reserve collections.
  • Maintain sound understanding of prevailing and forthcoming law relevant to residential property management and building safety, ensuring processes and operations are fit for purpose and compliant.
  • Understand and assist in progressing to conclusion any building defects with the managing agents and appointed professional consultants, including progressing any funding application processes for available government funds.
  • Ensure appointed managing agents are reporting and acting as per our instruction and in accordance with best practice, legislation and industry standards
  • Attend sites as required and record detailed inspection data to ensure sites are in optimum condition. Following up on your findings.
  • Ensure strong oversight of compliance at sites under management.
  • Review and approve key documents on each direct instruction (budgets, accounts, s20b, s20) and review key communications prior to the agent sending out.
  • Identify, monitor and resolve, with managing agents, any leaseholder or resident complaints raised 


Qualifications -  Operations Manager, Property Management


  • MIRPM (TPI) / AssocRICS or equivalent qualified
  • Leasehold and property management experience
  • Staff Management 
  • Any Health & Safety qualification is beneficial 
  • Candidate must have a valid driving licence 


Salary -  Operations Manager, Property Management


£55k to £65k depending on experience


Hybrid work offered.
