Job Overview

Refonte AI is seeking passionate and driven interns for our DevSecOps & Cybersecurity Internship program. This opportunity is part of our Refonte Global Training & Internship Program (RIGTIP) and offers an immersive learning experience in cybersecurity and secure software development practices. You’ll work on real-world projects, gain hands-on experience in DevSecOps tools, and collaborate with an international team of experts in cybersecurity and DevSecOps across various regions.


This role is ideal for candidates eager to build their skills in cyber defense , risk management , and DevSecOps practices , and to learn from cybersecurity leaders in a flexible, remote environment.


Key Responsibilities

As a DevSecOps & Cybersecurity Intern, your duties will include:

  • CI/CD Security : Design, develop, and manage secure CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps practices for Static Application Security Testing (SAST) , Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) , and Interactive Application Security Testing (IAST) .
  • Application Security : Implement OWASP standards to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within applications.
  • System Security and Assessment : Build secure systems, perform vulnerability assessments , and gain experience in infrastructure protection and web presence security.
  • Threat Modeling & Risk Analysis : Conduct threat modeling and risk assessment for web applications, analyzing potential security risks and preparing countermeasures.
  • Vulnerability Management : Create, document, and implement strategies for vulnerability management within various environments.
  • Ethical Hacking Techniques : Perform ethical hacking tasks, including footprinting , reconnaissance , and vulnerability exploitation using modern techniques and tools.
  • Advanced Network Scanning : Utilize tools like NMAP and NPING to scan network systems, analyze vulnerabilities, and assess risks beyond firewalls and IDS.
  • Web Application Security : Develop an understanding of web application vulnerabilities and effective protection methods.


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Educational Background : Currently enrolled in a degree in Cybersecurity , Computer Science , or a related field, demonstrating a strong commitment to learning and professional development.
  • Technical Skills : Knowledge of DevSecOps , network security , and familiarity with security testing tools.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal skills for collaborating effectively with team members and conveying complex information clearly.
  • Teamwork & Adaptability : Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing flexibility, collaboration, and attention to detail.
  • Problem Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and manage security challenges.
