We have an exciting brand-new opportunity for a Health and Safety Admin Apprentice to join our busy Health, Safety, Quality and Environment team (HSQE) at Ground Control.
This role will initially have more of a H&S and compliance focus but will also take on aspects of Quality and Environment in the future. This role has a strong focus on H&S data management. We will support you every step of the way with your studies spending up to 20% of your week completing your Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician apprenticeship course.
Day to day we will get you involved in many aspects of the HSQE department including;
- Management of data on our Safety Culture database recording red and amber safety alerts
- Making sense of the data recorded by the Operations teams and communicating this to the relevant stakeholders
- Depending on the severity of the incident escalating this information to the Senior management team
- Running data reports on incidents, client reporting and also contract reporting
- Safety Culture user set ups and allocation of permissions for new users
- Maintaining and updating templates on Safety Culture to reflect internal and external changes
- Management of the HSQE inbox and distributing messages to the wider team
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for fast learner with a curious mindset who has a genuine interest in learning about H&S and compliance in a high risk environment. Attention to detail and being proactive are key in this role as you will soon have your own responsibility and will need to take ownership of your work.
This is a busy and close-knit team, so everyone`s efforts are important to the overall success. You`ll have to show a strong team ethic focusing on fantastic service every day, as well as being able to maintain high enthusiasm. You`ll be assigned a buddy and get lots of support, and the team will work with you each day to help you as you become competent in the role.
We would love you to progress within the HSQE team in the future so a genuine interest in working within this environment is essential.
You`ll also need to have strong computer skills including Excel & Outlook to assist you in your role; but we can help you with this where needed. Any Power BI experience is ideal but not essential.
This is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to spend 1 to 2 days a week in our office in Billericay, with the rest of the week working from home partnering with the team on video calls. These days can flex with the needs of the business. We will support you with your studies, but you must be highly self-motivated as you will need to stay on track and complete this at the same time as your busy role.
If you`d like this opportunity to learn as you earn, in a fast-paced fun team then apply now
