Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental Engineer

VNA Recruitment are currently recruiting for Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental Engineers for our client based in Needham Market, Suffolk.
Daily responsibilities include:
* Planning, coordinating, and overseeing intrusive investigations
* Conducting fieldwork
* Gathering, analysing, and interpreting data
* Creating factual and interpretative reports
* Ensuring projects adhere to budget and timeline
* Collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors
* Utilising specialised computer applications
Essential skills encompass:
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
* Proficiency in working independently and as part of a team
* Accurate task execution and adherence to strict methodologies
* Meticulous attention to detail, discipline, care, and focus
* Experience in soil and rock logging according to current standards
* Strong report writing skills
* Project management and organizational proficiency
* BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng in geology, civil engineering, or related fields, although other qualifications will be considered
Ideally, candidates should demonstrate experience in multiple areas, such as:
* Preparation of desk studies
* Assessment of human health risks
* Classification of waste
* Assessment of groundwater risks
* Assessment of ground gas risks
* Conducting ground investigations
* Evaluating foundations
* Preparation of factual and interpretative reports
Prospective candidates must be prepared to conduct and oversee ground investigation and contaminated land projects in the geotechnical and geo-environmental sector. They should also play a key role in enhancing the department's report writing capacity. This position involves a combination of office and field work, therefore, applicants must possess a valid UK driving license.
