Please keep an eye out for our email .JOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Trusts and Major Donors Fundraiser who has previous experience in Trusts, Charity and/or Major Donor fundraising, excellent relationship building and communication skills and knowledge of fundraising regulations and best practice.Working as a Trusts and Major Donors Fundraiser you will develop and grow income across two significant income streams
trusts and major donors.As a Trusts and Major Donors Fundraiser you will identify and approach trusts and foundations that may support the charitys mission as well as existing major donors and major donor prospects.DUTIESYour duties as a Trusts and Major Donors Fundraiser will include:Trusts and GrantsIdentify and approach trusts and foundations that may support the charitys mission workWrite tailored high-quality applications, addressing grant-making priorities or requirements as specified by individual trusts and foundationsEnsure that all donations and grants are properly acknowledged in a timely fashion and all reporting requirements are metObjectively review the success and achievements against agreed targets, identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for developmentIdentify budgeted activities that can be packaged as projectsMonitor restricted funds, to ensure that items within budgets are not double fundedMajor DonorsIdentify existing major donors and major donor prospects on the databaseDevelop stewardship and cultivation plans, including management of suitable engagement materialsDevelop and organise major donor events and activities to deepen relationships with major donorsReview & reignite portfolio of lapsed major donor contactsManage all communications to major donors, including thankingCreate a healthy and sustainable pipeline for major donor contactsDevelop high level funding opportunities to equip and inform pitches to major donorsGeneralSupport the Director of Fundraising and Communications in the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy to maximise incomeContribute new ideas for fundraising and identify suitable funding initiatives, calls for proposals etc.Produce detailed annual action plans on specific areas of responsibility outlined above, identifying areas for growth and development and outlining measurable objectivesEnsure close collaborative working within the Fundraising and Communications teamReport regularly on key performance criteriaCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSEssentialPrevious experience in Trusts or Corporate/Charity fundraisingPrevious experience in Major Donor fundraisingProven record of successful applications for substantial funding from Trusts and grant-making bodiesDemonstrable ability to develop relationships with Major Donors and TrustsCompetence with databases, Excel, Word and OutlookExcellent relationship building and communication skills, both written and verbalKnowledge of UK Trusts and FoundationsGreat attention to detailGood organisational skills and ability to plan own workGood team player and willingness to be flexibleProactive and self-motivatedAble to plan ahead and work within agreed timeframesKnowledge of current regulations and fundraising best practice e.g., GDPRDesirableExperience of researching Trust funding opportunitiesWorking within a charitable environment, preferably within a Christian charityMember of Chartered Institute of FundraisingOccupational requirement: All jobs with this organisation have an occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 to be held by an active, practising Christian due to the evangelistic work of the organisation.HOW TO APPLYTo be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
