At the forefront of automation technology, they are seeking a Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Northampton office.
Role Overview:
As a Controls Engineer Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complete controls software design solutions, from initial concept to delivery, for large-scale automated systems. Your expertise will contribute to a diverse range of projects, pushing the boundaries of innovation to meet and exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities / Duties:
* Ensure solutions meet customer requirements within budget and timeline constraints, maintaining technical excellence.
* Develop well-structured software programs using multiple PLC platforms.
* Create user-friendly HMI/SCADA applications.
* Design and implement PLC hardware configurations.
* Establish PLC network/fieldbus structures.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, coupled with BTEC/City and Guilds qualifications.
* HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
* Strong knowledge of controls components.
* Proficiency in multiple PLC systems, such as Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi.
* Experience with Servo and/or VFD interfacing and control
