My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Production Manager to join their site on the outskirts of Edinburgh. You will be working with a successful manufacturer, that have a culture on site that is results-driven with a strong focus on continuous improvement.nThe company is well established, financial stable and have earned a reputation as an excellent employer. With a current focus on diversification into new markets, this is an exciting time to join a stable and profitable business that is keen on developing further.nWith an increase in production on site, it has become inevitable that they are now looking for another Production Manager to support them.nResponsibilities

:nManage and evaluate machine and labour resources to ensure continuous productivity and minimal downtimenPlanning and organising production schedulesnDistribute manpower effectivelynEnsure production is cost effective, ran as efficiently as possible and minimise overtime spendnEscalate production issues or problems to the Operations Manager as required.nEnsure that Team Leaders, Supervisors and Section Leaders are fulfilling the Roles and Responsibilities expected of themnOverseeing the production process, ensuring adherence to required process and quality controlsnReviewing departments performance against Action Plans and KPI'snProvide motivation, support and guidance to all employeesnEnsure the shop floor is kept up to date on factory performance and news relevant to the businessnExperience required:n5+ years minimum experience in a manufacturing management rolenSound knowledge, understanding and examples of implementation of lean manufacturing principles and methodsnImplement a culture of continuous improvement, always seeking out opportunities to do things betternExcellent project management skillsnThe ability to lead, motivate and influence large multi-functional teamsnSuccessful track record of training employees in productivity and safetynSuccessful implementation of an effective succession planning program
