Quality Assurance Technician


East Riding of Yorkshire


Circa £28.5k per annum

  • Our client is seeking to appoint a Quality Assurance Technician to join its Quality Team, responsible for the auditing, maintenance and continual development of technical standards.


Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Supporting the QA Manager with implementation of the QMS to enable the sites to meet customer and third-party requirements
  • Implementation of the HACCP system within the production facilities
  • Ensuring compliance with all legislation relating to product safety and legality
  • The management of procedures, work instructions and forms
  • Investigating & implementing corrective actions ensuring root cause reached
  • Production based auditing including: issuing, tracking and closing out any resulting non-conformances e.g. GMP audits, fabrication & glass & hard plastic audits
  • Ensuring non-compliances and customer complaints are correctly investigated and followed up


Essential / Desirable skills include:

  • Previous Quality Assurance experience from a Manufacturing background
  • Experience of Quality Systems management either in a BRC or ISO9000 environment.
  • High level understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of factory processes, HACCP and quality systems, auditing processes, legal requirements, traceability systems, and audit trails

The salary for this role is circa £28.5k per annum and the working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4pm with some flexibility required to meet the needs of the business. A driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
