Role Overview: As a Science Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the science department by preparing and maintaining equipment and materials for practical lessons. This position is ideal for individuals with strong organisational skills and a keen interest in fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science experiments
Ensure the safe storage and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials
Assist teachers and students during practical lessons
Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities
Contribute to the overall smooth operation of the science departmentRequirements:
Previous experience as a Science Technician is advantageous
Educational background in a relevant scientific field
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a laboratory setting
Ability to work collaboratively within a teamHourly Rate: The rate for this position is £12.50 to £14.50 per hour, depending on experience.
