Indirect Procurement Category Lead – Global Industry-Leading Private Healthcare Organisation Nottingham (UK office base) | Very flexible – can be based anywhere in the UK | Up to £65,000 + benefits inc. bonus | Hybrid/ Remote working This industry-leading global healthcare organisation , with revenues exceeding £18 billion, has recently undergone a major global restructure and is seeking a strategic procurement professional to lead the new direction of its procurement function . This is a unique opportunity to drive change management, transformation, and continuous improvement across the end-to-end procurement process, innovating legacy practices and implementing best-in-class procurement strategies. You will have full exposure across all UK procurement spend, focusing predominantly on a generalist range of indirect categories (including IT, FM, Utilities, Marketing, and 3PL) as well as some direct/product procurement. This role will enable you to imprint your approach , setting strategic direction and delivering procurement excellence across sourcing, SRM, contract management, tender management, and negotiation. Indirect Procurement Category Lead responsibilities… Full end-to-end ownership and strategic category management across a broad range of indirect procurement categories (IT, FM, Utilities, Marketing, 3PL) and some direct procurement exposure. Drive strategic procurement delivery across the end-to-end function inc. strategic sourcing, negotiation, contract management, tender management, risk mitigation and supplier relationship management. Lead procurement transformation and change management initiatives , embedding best-practice procurement processes and continuous improvement. Indirect Procurement Category Lead requirements… Proven experience across the end-to-end procurement function, ideally with exposure to a generalist range of indirect categories Strong ability to develop and execute category strategies and deliver commercial outcomes. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
