My client is a highly reputable, global company specialising in importing, machining, and distributing high-quality Scandinavian softwoods to the builders and timber merchant sectors, who take pride in their commitment to excellence and sustainable practices.
Position Overview: As a Wood Machinist, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing and distribution process. Your primary responsibility will be operating a Weinig Powermat moulder to produce precision softwood timber mouldings. You'll work closely with our team to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Location: This full-time position is based in King's Lynn, Norfolk.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate the Weinig Powermat moulder efficiently.
Experience using Planer/Moulder Machine.
Understand timber grades and profiles to produce accurate mouldings.
Work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Follow instructions meticulously to maintain quality and safety standards.
Utilize good numeracy skills for precise measurements.
Maintain a safety-conscious approach to all tasks.Experience:
Proficiency in using Weinig Powercom software (preferred).
Knowledge of timber grades and profiles.
Confidence in working independently and as part of a team.
Strong ability to follow instructions accurately.
Good numeracy skills for measurements.
Safety-conscious mindset.
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
