Machine Operative - Nights
Duration: Temporary - Permanent
Location: Huddersfield, HD9
Hours: Monday to Thursday 6PM-6AM or 7PM/7AM (Training on a Day Shift - Monday to Thursday 8am-6pm, Friday 8am - 5PM)
Salary: Starting £12p/h rising to £16.76p/h

We are recruiting for an experienced Machine Operative to join their team.

Duties:
Operating a wrapping machine following the correct operating procedures to achieve specified target output and product quality standards.
To work within and comply with the company Health and Safety policy, procedure, and risk assessments.
Follow the manufacturing instructions in accordance with the works orders to achieve the production plan and customer orders.
Ensure that raw material, bought in goods and manufactured products meet quality standards.
Inform the Operations Manager or relevant supervisor of machine or product problems or potential problems.
Manual handling
Accurate and timely completion of company paperwork
Maintain a clean and tidy environment.
Work as part of a team showing flexibility to assist in other duties and tasks as required.
Demonstrate excellent communication and assist in smooth shift handovers.
Show flexibility in working hours, including overtime to meet business needs.
Any other duties as required commensurate with the role and level of responsibility of the post.Essential Skills:
Previous experience operating industrial machinery, Wrapping/Weaving is advantageous.
Awareness of Health and Safety
FLT Counterbalance experience is advantageous.
Willingness to learn and take on board any training
Good level of physical fitness
Great timekeeping
Ability to work well under own initiative.
