Due to a steadily increasing workload we currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated graduate or project grade consultant to join our busy team in either London, Exeter or Bristol.

The role

You will have a great opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge gained during your degree/masters – or to build on any placement or post-graduation commercial experience you have gained.

With support from senior colleagues, you will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of tasks including:

• Undertaking routine groundwater level, groundwater quality and surface water monitoringn• Installation of groundwater level loggers, data download and analysisn• Borehole drilling supervision, geological logging and hydrogeological testingn• Maintaining databases of monitoring datan• Reviewing, interpreting and reporting the results of routine water monitoringn• Preparing geological and hydrogeological Conceptual Site Modelsn• Assisting with the completion of hydrogeological assessments to include analysis of monitoring data, completion of hydrogeological calculations, groundwater modelling and reportingn• Contributing to the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) water chapters

The nature of the role and the sites worked on mean that there may be occasional site work away from home for short periods.

About you

If you are interested in applying and you have a full UK driving licence we would love to hear from you. In order to be successful, we would envisage that you would be able to demonstrate the following:

• A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification which focuses on Earth Sciences and Hydrogeology, and the drive and desire to build a successful career in this fieldn• Strong IT skills, including MS Office; and any use of modelling software (ArcGIS, QGIS, Groundwater Vistas) would be a great advantagen• A desire to learn, and the ability to problem solve and work independently when requiredn• Good numeracy, written and verbal communication, and timekeeping abilities
