There is plenty of support for the incoming person and the firm can be flexible as to whether someone joins as a Partner straight or grows into the role over a couple of years. The role with have an element of mixed tax but with a focus towards private client tax. The role would suit an individual from a mixed or private client tax background who is CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified, technically proficient and have a background in a tax advisory role within a practice environment.
Responsibilities
Working with the Partners, managing corporate and personal clients, particularly for owner-managed and SME businesses.nLead on tax advisory work.nPrivate client tax advice, IHT planning, probate and estate administrationnReviewing and preparing corporation tax computations and workings, particularly for owner-managed and SME businesses.nAdvising on various tax issues relating to the sale of businesses, demergers and asset protection.nLeading a tax team and department, ensuring that clients receive excellent customer service and support.nProviding training and development for colleagues and team members.nRepresenting the company at networking and business events -- identifying new business opportunities.nIdentify opportunities to introduce and cross-sell company services to new and existing clients.nUse a commercial mindset to strategically drive the tax offering and promote the tax capabilities with other team members.
You will be/have:
CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified.nDemonstrable experience of working in a tax advisory role within professional practice.nTechnically proficient with expertise in both business and personal tax although candidates from a private client tax background will be considered
