Job Advert: Nutritional Support Chef
Location: Haydock, St Helens, Merseyside
Overview:
Are you a passionate chef with a heart for enhancing the lives of others? We are looking for a dedicated Nutritional Support Chef to join our compassionate team. In this rewarding role, you will provide nutritious and delicious meals for our residents, while also supporting self-catering and cooking sessions that empower our residents with essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively engage in our resident care philosophy to deliver the highest level of service and satisfaction.
Prepare and present nutritious meals tailored to the needs and preferences of residents.
Monitor every aspect of food handling, preparation, and presentation to ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations.
Oversee day-to-day operations within the kitchen to ensure efficient meal service.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with local suppliers for quality ingredients.
Manage food and equipment orders, ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained.
Create innovative and nutritious menu ideas for weekly rotations that cater to resident preferences.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen.
Ensure the proper usage of kitchen equipment, adhering to all operating instructions.
Provide professional, caring, and prompt service to residents at all times.
Conduct engaging cooking lessons with residents, fostering independence and culinary skills.
Person Specification:Education, Training, and Qualifications:
Level 2/3 Food Hygiene Certificate required.
Experience and Job-Related Knowledge:
Minimum of 1-year experience working in a kitchen environment.
Previous experience in the care industry is preferred but not mandatory.
