Job Summary

As a BIM/CAD Technician, you will play an instrumental role in creating technical drawings and models for cabling and network infrastructure, electronic security and AV systems within commercial and residential projects. Your role will include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project objectives and industry standards.

You will be required to conduct industry standard site survey tools and software to analyse, assess and improve wireless network performance in diverse environments, and to ensure optimal field of view and coverage alignment with security surveillance cameras.

Having a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently to deadlines are key attributes for this role, particularly when conducting quality checks for drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit, along with a strong understanding of BIM (Building Information Modelling) processes, is essential to the success of this role.

Working collaboratively with teams across the business, this role has significant scope for personal development and will give considerable exposure to the varied technologies and systems that we operate, opening a variety of routes for future career progression.

Qualifications:nEssentialnMinimum 5 A*-C GCSE's, including Math's or English.nValid DBS ChecknAutodesk AutoCAD CertificationnAutodesk Revit CertificationnDesirablenCertificate in WiFi Survey Design (e.g. Ekahau, AirMagnet)nIndustry and role-specific qualifications, including higher level technical and management qualifications.nFull clean driving licence.

Experience:nEssentialn3 years’ minimum experience of AutoCAD (2D & 3D)n1 year’s minimum experience on Revit (3D)nBIM (Building Information Modelling) knowledgenDesirablenAwareness of Audio Visual, ICT Infrastructure, IoT, and Wired & Wireless Network architecture.
