What You'll Do:
* Assist qualified art therapists in delivering individual and group art therapy sessions to students, using creative expression as a means of exploration and healing.
* Support students in processing emotions, developing coping strategies, and building self-esteem through artistic expression and reflection.
* Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and SENCO to identify students who would benefit from art therapy interventions and develop tailored support plans.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to ethical guidelines.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to deepen your understanding of art therapy principles and techniques.
What We're Looking For:
* A passionate and empathetic individual with a genuine interest in art therapy and supporting young people's mental health and well-being.
* A background in art, psychology, counseling, or a related field is desirable but not essential – we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who are committed to learning and growing in the field of art therapy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students and colleagues.
* Adaptability, resilience, and a willingness to learn and develop as an aspiring art therapist.
