This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing industry, contributing to the development of sustainable energy solutions. The Electrical Solar Designer will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Eon’s renewable energy infrastructure in the UK.
As an Electrical Solar Designer, you will be responsible for the auditing and all other aspect of compliance in our Solar designs. This will also include business improvement and supporting on large scale solar designs.
You will be working with the Quality and Standards (Q&S) team to provide critical compliance advice and feedback on all aspects of Solar designs, providing clear and concise information for management teams across the UK Solutions and the wider UK Business.
This is very much a development role that incorporates Solar PV compliant designs with a view to understanding everything about PV Solar installation. This will require regular site visits to promote learning to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliant Solar PV installations across the business.
What we need from you
Essential
*
Must be able to travel across all E. ON UK sites to deliver training and technical support to all field teams.
*
Significant technical Electrical experience in all aspect of Electrical work
*
Able to demonstrate and hold the relevant qualifications and competence i.e. 18th Edition, Electrical Degree, etc.
*
Have detailed knowledge of BS7671 and all other relevant industry and regulatory standards.
*
Previous experience of working with renewable technology
*
Practical technical experience on domestic and commercial Solar and Storage survey, design and install processes.
*
Strong understanding of UK regulations and standards for PV systems.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work flexibly on site and in office environments.
*
Able to provide technical training to colleagues
*
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*
A demonstratable track record in achieving goals and objectives, both individually and through others.
*
Ability to develop and manage effective working relationships across various business areas.
*
Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
*
Full valid UK driving licence
