Role Overview The Portfolio Director is responsible for: Managing a small diverse portfolio of their own, with the full support of a dedicated Assistant Portfolio Manager, and Team Assistant. Leading and mentoring a team of Portfolio Managers, and assistant staff. Acting as the primary liaison for clients within the team portfolio. Overseeing all aspects of the portfolio management —from client meetings, major works, compliance and finance. Key Responsibilities Team management : leading the team day-to-day. Mentor and manage a team of Portfolio Managers and Assistants, conduct appraisals. Client & Resident Relations : Act as the main contact for freeholders, and directors within the team portfolio. Maintenance Oversight : oversee the management of day-to-day repairs, contractor coordination, and issue resolution. Compliance Management : Ensure properties meet legislation requirements. Financial Management : oversee the compilation of service charge budgets, income, and expenditure liaising with internal and external accounts and legal teams. Key Skills & Requirements Minimum 7 years’ experience in block property management. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with a minimum of 2 years’ experience at a mid-management level . MTPI qualification – as a minimum Excellent communication skills —both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Qube . Ability to manage complex portfolios and run client meetings confidently and independently. Highly organized , with strong time management and problem-solving skills.
