Automatic Door Engineer

Qualifications • BS EN16005 • ADSA/AIDA
Experience & Expertise
• Time served experience within the industry
• Able to install, service, fault find & repair Auto Doors from different manufactures
• Able to confidently and accurately survey for installations, repairs and servicing
• Possess a good working knowledge of Automatic Door systems
• Capable of reading wiring diagrams/schematics
• Decisive problem solver
• Capable of planning time, prioritising and managing own workload
• Able to confidently carry out Risk Assessments and write detailed worksheets
• Able to expertly handle customers’ expectations and confidently handle difficult/stressful situations
Role & Responsibilities
Surveying • Survey assets on site obtaining comprehensive details to include quantities, makes, models, locations, photographs etc to enable us to quote for Service and Maintenance Contracts and build detailed asset/condition reports.
• Survey assets on site for repair – Identify parts required and time needed to facilitate repair and obtain photographs of parts.
• Survey for new installation. Obtaining all required information including precise measurements, RAL colours etc. Servicing
• Service Auto Doors in accordance with applicable standards.
• Identify any further work required
• Complete and submit detailed work sheets
• Complete and submit detailed service sheets
• Complete and submit details of any further work required including reasons work is needed and photographs of parts and assets.
Repair
• Repair asset as required
• Offer first visit fix wherever possible
• Obtain necessary authorisation from site to fit any parts that may be required
• Complete work sheet
• Detail any further work required Customer Service
• Provide excellent levels of customer service at all times to customers both face to face and over the telephone
• Able to calm angry or irate customers
• Go the “extra mile” for all customers General
• Submit detailed reports, work sheets, service sheets etc in an accurate, timely manner
• Ensure van stock is accurate and kept at adequate levels
• Look after tools and vehicle advising of any problems, straight away
