This megaproject is a pivotal player in the UKs climate change agenda and energy policy, presenting an unparalleled opportunity to be part of something monumental.
Building on the success of a comparable project, our current undertaking is a nuclear project in Suffolk. Having secured planning approval and government financing support, we are now seeking private investment with the goal of commencing construction in 2024. Upon completion, the project aims to provide reliable electricity to six million homes for 60 years, contributing significantly to Britains Net Zero target by 2050, alongside renewable energy initiatives.
We are currently offering an exceptional opportunity for an Interface Engineer to join our project team. In this role, you will play a vital role in overseeing interfaces within and across various delivery programmes, ensuring seamless alignment throughout all project stages. Based in London, youll have the chance to collaborate with stakeholders both at the project site in Suffolk and at key offices in the UK, with potential international travel as needed.
Our flexible team setup embraces a hybrid working approach, allowing you to balance your time between our offices and your home. We provide a comprehensive suite of IT equipment to ensure your comfort and effectiveness while working remotely.
The Role:
As an Interface Engineer, you will serve as a crucial link within the CWP Interface Management Plan. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and coordinating interfaces throughout the project, supporting CWP teams, and aligning with the Project Management Office (PMO).
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a collaborative approach to facilitate effective interface management planning and delivery.
Ensure all issues are clearly understood by teams, addressed, and appropriate interventions are developed and implemented.
Produce and maintain standardized documents and regular reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Review and monitor controls regularly, reporting to the business while supporting Project Managers with interface agreements.
The Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Understanding of interface management challenges on large infrastructure/engineering projects.
Previous on-site experience and knowledge of construction activities, approaches, standards, and expectations.
Previous experience in Interface Management for complex engineering delivery in major infrastructure projects.
Ideally, experience in an interface or project-based role with a focus on communication, organization, and relationship building.
Power in Diversity:
We foster an inclusive environment at our workplace, where everyone is valued and welcome. Our commitment to diversity is rooted in creating a workforce that reflects and benefits the society we serve. We believe in a culture where everyone is treated with equal respect and provided with equal access to opportunities.
Our key values include:
Respect: Value the rules and environment in which we operate.
Positivity: Positively challenge poor quality and performance.
Humility: Be open to others points of view and ideas, willing to debate and compromise.
Solidarity: One team, working closely together and helping each other.
Clarity: Communicate clearly and consistently.
Join us in creating a workplace where individuals can bring their whole selves to work, fostering mutual trust and appreciation through meaningful relationships. Together, lets build a great place to work and ensure the success of this monumental project
