Job Description: Supplydesk are seeking a passionate and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching food technology classes to students across various grade levels, delivering engaging lessons that inspire creativity and critical thinking. The Food Technology Teacher will contribute to the development of curriculum materials, supervise practical sessions in the kitchen, and assess student progress.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality food technology lessons in accordance with the curriculum standards.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to explore and experiment with food.
Supervise practical cooking sessions, ensuring safety procedures are followed and providing guidance as needed.
Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate food technology with other subjects.
Stay updated on developments in the field of food technology and incorporate relevant industry trends into the curriculum.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Teaching certification/license (if applicable) or relevant teaching experience.
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking techniques, preferably in an educational or commercial setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
Organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in managing practical sessions and assessing student work.
Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
