The company
My client are a highly regarded food manufacturing PLC. The business operates across the UK from several, well invested manufacturing facilities, delivering a fantastic range of premium products.
As part of their continued growth they now seek to appoint a Night Shift Engineering Manager at their site based in Lincolnshire.
The role
Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager you will have 3 engineers reporting into you and you will be the most senior member of staff on site. The responsibilities for Engineering Shift Manager in this role are critical to ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing site and ensuring that equipment is operational to maintain production schedules. Continually seeking opportunities to enhance equipment performance without compromising product quality. This can involve optimising processes, implementing upgrades, or using data-driven approaches to identify areas for improvement. This is hands on role.
The person
You will be qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering) with a proven track record in an engineering and fault-finding role. A good understanding of HACCP principles and ideally IEE qualification up to 18th edition wiring regulation, You will have a broad knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical & PLC/Inverter Assets and have the skills and capability to logically diagnose and fault find on a verity of equipment/situations. Excellent communication skills, assertiveness with the ability to make decisions on the spot, a can do attitude and a strong work ethic.
