Senior Backend Engineer

*This role requires people to be in the office in Cambridge 1-2x per week*

Candour are working closely with a tech company in Cambridge that are building an optimisation platform.

Utilizing machine learning, they're working on projects in system design, calibration, energy efficiency and sustainability across multiple problem spaces. Building their core engineering team, they're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with excellent skills in Python. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a company at the forefront of AI, building things from the ground up in the #techforgood space.

You'll need:

  • Minimum Bachelors in Computer Science, Statistics or similar
  • At least three years commercial software engineering experience
  • Experience designing API's and building distributed systems

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience working in at machine learning-driven company
  • Frontend knowledge in React
  • Startup experience
